Singer’s Guide for Teens – Day 6

🎤 Today’s Lesson: “Improve Your Vocal Range”

What the Video is About

This video introduces a fun and helpful vocal warm-up exercise called the “Singing Slide.” It’s a technique designed to help you improve your singing skills by focusing on how to use your voice effectively.

What You Will Learn

  • Singing Technique: You’ll learn how to say the word “SiNG” and hold the “NG” sound for a long time. This helps in controlling your voice.
  • Vocal Exercise: The video shows you how to slide your voice on a pattern called 1-5-1. It’s like taking your voice up and then back down while holding the “SiNG” sound.
  • Feeling the Vibration: As you practice, you might notice vibrations in different parts of your body. When you sing lower notes, you may feel them in your chest, and higher notes might resonate in your face.
  • Using Your Tongue: You’ll understand the importance of keeping your tongue high in the back of your mouth to maintain the “NG” sound. This helps make your voice more flexible.

By the end of the video, you’ll have practiced moving your voice up and down the scale, making your singing stronger and more controlled.

My confidence in singing has improved. I am now more versatile in how I sing.

All I can say is wow, wow, wow. Meghan is so enthusiastic also, and that made this even better.
