Singer’s Guide for Kids – Day 6

🎤 Today’s Lesson: “Sound Painting”

Today, we’re going on an exciting adventure in the forest with a special friend – the owl! But wait, have you ever wondered why an owl’s gentle hoot can be heard from so far away, even when they’re not being loud? 🤔

What’s the Secret Behind the Owl’s Hoot?

Owls have a magical way of making their hoots travel through the forest. They use something called voice echo. This means they create a sound that can bounce around and reach our ears even if it’s soft. Isn’t that cool?

How Can We Hoot Like an Owl?

In the video, we’ll learn how to hoot just like an owl using a special voice called the head voice. This is a voice that’s higher than our regular talking voice. Think of it as using your “tea party” voice – soft and gentle!

Here’s What You’ll Learn:

  1. Gentle Sounds: An owl’s hoot is gentle and not too loud.
  2. Pure “Ooh” Sound: Make a sound that is pure and clear, just like when you say “ooh”.
  3. Echo-y Hoot: Try to make your sound echo, so it travels through the air.

We’ll practice making the sound “WHO” three times, and even go up and down a musical scale to make it fun!

So, get ready to hoot like an owl and have fun learning about their special sounds. See you in the forest! 🦉✨

My confidence in singing has improved. I am now more versatile in how I sing.

All I can say is wow, wow, wow. Meghan is so enthusiastic also, and that made this even better.
